Sunday, October 2, 2011 Manalapan Twp Fire Co #1, Hosted it's Annual Open house and Blood Drive on October 2, 2011.  As usual we had a huge turn out.  The support from the community was great.  We recieved 91 pints of blood from donors, for the RED CROSS.  We had the Fire Saftey Trainer from the St Barnabas Burn center, Which teaches children what to do during a real fire and who to call.  We trained people from the community on how to operate a fire extingusher using a real live fire simulator. We had kids use a real live fire hose to put out a mock fire. We had a HUGE Fire Truck Slide for kids to enjoy, and did Fire and CO alarm training. This is all for FIRE SAFTEY WEEK.  Anyone in the Community wishing to be trained on fire extingusher saftey, please call the fire house to set up a time.
